Abstract
In an acidic medium of dil.H2SO4,the oxidation product of aniline was enriched on the electrochemically activated glassy carbon electrode (GCE) at potentials ranging from +0.4 V to +0.5 V (vs.SCE),and a well-defined redox peak was observed.Linear relationship was found between the magnitude of peak current and concentration of aniline in the range of 1×10-7-1×10-5mol·L-1 under the optimum experimental conditions. When the time of enrichment at GCE was 5 min and the enrichment potential was +1.2 V (vs.SCE),a detection limit of 5×10-8mol·L-1 was obtained. The proposed method was used in the determination of aniline in samples of industrial waste water and river water, giving results in consistency with the results obtained by the GB standard method.
