Abstract
HPLC was applied for the determination of diphenylarsinic acid (DPAA) in Pteris vittata L.. The sample was extracted by oscillation in Na2HPO4 solution of 0.02 mol·L-1 for 4 h. After centrifugation, the supernatant was separated on a Shimadzu VP-ODS reserved-phase C18 column with acetonitrile-KH2PO4 solution of 0.02 mol·L-1 as the mobile phase for gradient elution. UV-detection was made at 220 nm. The linear relationship was found between the peak area and the mass concentration of DPAA was in the range of 0.20-2.0 mg·L-1,with detection limit of 2.8 mg·kg-1. Recovery rates measured by standard addition methods were in the range of 98.5%-98.8%,with RSD (n=5) in the range of 0.97%-4.6%. The method was used to determine DPAA in Pteris vittata L.
