    GC Determination of 10 Nitrobenzene Homologues in Surface Water with Liquid-Liquid Extraction

    • Water sample (200 mL) was extracted with n-hexane (10 mL), and after dehydration with anhydrous Na2SO4, the extract was used for GC analysis, using DB-1701 chromatographic column for separation in the temperature range from 110 ℃ to 210 ℃ with programmed temperature elevation. ECD was used in the determination. Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass concentration of the 10 nitrobenzene homologues were found in definite ranges, with detection limits in the range of 0.10-2.5 μg·L-1. Tests for recovery and precision were made, giving values of recovery in the range of 86.4%-96.2% and RSD′s (n=7) less than 5%.
