Abstract
It was found that in a Clark-Lubs buffer medium of pH 2.4,human serum albumin (HSA) in blood stain reacts with chlorosulfophenol S to form a blue colored compound complex having its absorption maximum at 635 nm and value of molar absorptivity of (ε635) 2.49×105L·mol-1·cm-1.Linear regression equation of the standard working curve obtained was as follows:A=3.66×10-3C-0.026 (r=1.000).Range of linearity within 160 mg·L-1 of HSA was obtained.Minimum detectable concentration of the method was found to be 0.25 g·L-1.Based on the facts mentioned above, the method was proposed to be used in the evidence analysis for determination of HSA in blood stain.
