Abstract
Water soluble CdTe/CdS core-shell quantum dots, having special optical and spectral characteristics, were synthesized, using 3-mercaptopropionic acid as stabilizer.Based on the significant enhancement effect of cytochrome C on the resonance rayleigh scattering (RRS) of CdTe/CdS quantum dots,a new method for the determination of cytochrome C was proposed.Linear relationship between the enhanced RRS signals measured at 385 nm in a phosphate buffer of pH 7.0 and the concentration of cytochrome C was found in the range from 0.036 to 1.31 mg·L-1,with a detection limit of 10.8 μg·L-1.The proposed method has been applied to the analysis of 3 samples of human serum, and values of recovery determined by standard addition method were in the range from 90.4% to 93.2%.
