    AAS Determination of Trace Elements in Root of Salvia Miltiorrhiza and its Close Species

    • Samples were soaked overnight with mixed acid of HNO3 and HClO4(4+1),and then digested by heating.Under optimized working conditions of the instrument Ca,Mg,Fe,Mn,Cu and Zn in the sample solution were determined by FAAS and Mo,Pb,Cr and Cd were determined by GFAAS.NH4HPO4 and ascorbic acid were used as matrix modifiers respectively in the determination of Pb and Cd,and in the determination of Cr.Values of detection limit (3S/N) for all the 10 elements were less than 0.26 μg·g-1.Values of recovery and RSD′s (n=5) found for Ca,Mg,Fe,Mn,Cu and Zn were in the ranges of 99.0%-103.6% and 0.54%-1.77% respectively and those for Mo,Pb,Cr and Cd were in the ranges of 100.0%-108% and 0.02%-1.9% respectively.
