Abstract
A SPE-HPLC method of determining ellagic acid in cosmetics was developed. Samples were extracted with ultrasonic for 10 min by the mixture of methanol and water (1+1), then centrifugated at 10 000 r·min-1 for 5 min. 5.00 mL of supernatant was treated by MAX solid phase extraction, then eluted by formic acid-methanol (5+95) solution. The sample extraction was analyzed by MG C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm). The mobile phase used for washing was 0.2% phosphate acid-acetonitrile (18+82), with detection wavelength at 254 nm. A good linear relationship was obtained from 0.5-100 mg·L-1. The limit of quantitation (10S/N) was 20 mg·kg-1. Recovery of the method found was in the range of 83.5%-100%.
