Abstract
GC-MS was applied to the determination of residual amounts of 23 phthalates in wine. The sample after heating in boiling water bath to expel ethanol was extracted with n-hexane. After centrifuging the supernatant was separated on DB-5MS quartz capillary chromatographic column , and determined under selected ion monitoring mode in MS. Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass concentration of 23 phthalate esters were kept in the same range of 0.1-10 mg·L-1, with lower limits of determination (10S/N) of 0.5 mg·kg-1 for DINP and DIDP, and of 0.1 mg·kg-1 for the remainder 21 phthalates. On the base of blank sample, test for recovery was made by standard addition method; values of recovery found were in the range of 84.1%-100%.
