    ICP-AES Determination of Rhodium in Pt-Rh Alloy

    • A new method for the determination of rhodium in Pt-Rh alloy by ICP-AES was proposed in this paper. 0.100 0 g of sample (wRh≤40%) was digested completely with 10 mL of HCl-HNO3 (3+1)and 0.5 mL of HF (ρ/1.18 g·mL-1) in the microwave digestor. The spectral line of 343.489 nm was selected as analytical line for the determination. Detection limit of the method found was 0.029 mg·L-1. The proposed method was used in the analysis of 5 Pt-Rh alloy samples, the relative error between the results obtained by this method and the results by GB method were found to be in the range of 0.10%-0.40%, and values of recovery were in the range of 99.6%-101.0%.
