    GF-AAS Determination of Lead in Magnesium Chloride

    • In the method proposed,the sample of magnesium chloride was dissolved and evaporated repeatedly with HNO3 to expel the chloride and transform the magnesium chloride into its nitrate salt,which was used as matrix modifier in the AAS determination.The ashing temperature was raised to 900 ℃ and interferences from chlorides were eliminated.Linear relationship was held in the concentration range of 0-80 μg·L-1 of lead,with a detection limit of 0.75 mg·kg-1.Average values of RSD (n=12) and recovery were found to be 11.5% and 89.5% respectively.
