Use of ICP-AES in Phase Analysis of Molybdenum Ores

ICP-AES was applied to phase analysis of molybdenum ores.Different procedures were proposed and described in detail for the determination of total molybdenum and various phases of the molybdenum ores.The spectrum of 204.5 nm was chosen as the analytical line.Detection limit (3s) of the method was found to be 0.008 mg·L-1.The proposed method was used in the phase analysis of 3 ore samples,giving results in consistency with the results obtained by the photometric methods.Values of RSD′s (n=11) found were in the range of 0.5%-3.6%.
