GF-AAS Determination of Lead in Propolis

Sample of propolis was digested with conc.HNO3 and conc.HClO4 mixture,until the color of solution turned to colorless or light yellow and fumed with HClO4.The solution was diluted with 0.5 mol·L-1 HNO3 and used for AAS determination.Linear regression equation of the calibration curve was found as A=0.001 6 C+0.006 3 (r=0.999 8).Detection limit (S/N=3) of the method was found to be 0.04 mg·kg-1.The proposed method was used in the analysis of substantial samples for the lead contents,giving value of RSD (n=6) 1.0%,and values of recovery in the range from 76.0%-105.0%.
