    Simultaneous ICP-AES Determination of 12 Elements in Leaves and Trunk of Artocarpus Heterophyllus Lam

    • An ICP-AES method for the simultaneous determination of Fe,Mn,Cu,Zn,Ca,Mg,Na,K,Al,Pb,Cd and Ni in leaves and trunk of Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam was proposed.The sample was treated by ashing and the residue was dissolved in dil.HNO3+H2O2.Nitric acid (2+98) was chosen as the solution medium,and spectral lines with wavelengths of 238.204,257.610,327.393,206.200,317.933,285.213,589.592,404.721,396.153,220.353,228.802,221.648 nm were selected as analytical lines for the determination of Fe,Mn,Cu,Zn,Ca,Mg,Na,K,Al,Pb,Cd and Ni respectively.Detection limits (3s) for the 12 elements found were less than 0.100 mg·L-1.The proposed method was applied to the analysis of samples of leaves and trunk of artocarpus heterophyllus Lam,giving values of RSD′s (n=6) in the range of 0.38%-5.52%.
