    ICP-AES Determination of Trace Amounts of Sodium in Anticorrosive Aluminum Alloy

    • An ICP-AES method for the determination of sodium in anticorrosive aluminum alloy was proposed. The sample was dissolved with HCl(1+1) and H2O2. The wavelength of 588.995 nm was selected as analytical line for the determination of sodium. Detection limit (3S/N) of the method found was 0.028 mg·L-1. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of trace amounts of sodium in anticorrosive aluminum alloy (wNa=0.000 14%-0.000 73%), giving values of recovery obtained by standard addition method in the range of 91.4%-113.3% and RSD′s (n=6) in the range of 2.6%-5.5%.
