    FAAS Determination of Strontium in High-purity Barium Carbonate

    • In the FAAS determination of strontium in high-purity barium carbonate,sensitization effects of 6 organic reagent were tested when added to the aqueous sample solution with different mixing ratios.It was found that formic acid,when added to a volumic ratio of 85%,showed highest sensitizing effect (ca.70%) as compared with the other 5 reagents (i.e.,methanol,ethanol,n-propanol,formaldehyde and acetic acid).Recovery and precision of the method using the formic acid-H2O (85+15) solution system,were tested by addition of standard Sr solution (i.e.,1.9 mg·g-1) for 6 determinations,giving values of recovery ranged from 100% to 106% and value of RSD (n=6) obtained was 2.2%.
