    Determination of Bromate in Flour and Flour Products by Ion Chromatography

    • An ion chromatographic method for the determination of bromate in flour and flour products was proposed and reported in this paper.Bromate was first extracted from the sample with water and purified by solid-phase extraction on a silver column,then determined by ion chromatography.Chromatographic separation was carried out on IonPac AS19 column (2 mm×250 mm) with ASRS-ULTRAⅡ anion suppresor,and a suppressed conductivity detector was used to the determination.Linearity of the calibration curve was obtained within 200 μg·L-1 of bromate.Detection limit (3S) of the method was 0.01 mg·kg-1,RSD′s (n=6) found were less than 5% and recovery was in range of 92.9%-99.5%.
