    DETERMINATION OF TRACES OF BISMUTH IN GYNOSTEMMA PENTAPHYLLUM BY HYDRIDE GENERATION ATOMIC FLUORESCENCE SPECTROMETRY

    • A method of atomic fluorescence spectrometry with hydride-generation for the determination of traces of bismuth in the medicinal herb Gynostemma Pentaphyllum was reported in this paper.Effects of different methods of sample digestion different acid-medium and acidity of the analyte and the amounts of reductant added on the determination of bismuth were studied and optimized.Linear relationship between peak area and concentration of bismuth was found in the range of 0.1-200 μg·L-1.A detection limit of 0.095 μg·L-1 was found by successive determination of the blank solution for 15 times.In its application to sample analysis,values of RSD (n=6) and average recovery of 4.28% and 99.5% were obtained.
