    XRFS Determination of 8 Trace Elements and 4 Oxides in Flash Converting Furnace Slag

    • XRPF determination of 8 trace elements and 4 components in slags from flash converting furnace was proposed in this paper. The sample was powdered to sizes in the range of 0.075-0.106 mm and pressed under a pressure of 35 t for 20 s to form a disc sample. Working curves were prepared by using standard samples. Interferences due to overlapping of spectral lines were overcomed by using suitable spectral lines. Values of RSD′s (n=10) were found to be less than 6.5% by analysis of a sample of flash converting furnace slag. Three samples were analyzed by the proposed method, giving results in consistency with the results found by other methods.
