    Simultaneous Spectrophotometric Determination of Chromium and Manganese in Steel with the Algorithm of Partial Least Square

    • Chromium(Ⅲ) and manganese(Ⅱ) in H2SO4-H3PO4 mixed acid solution of steel sample were oxidized to Cr(Ⅵ) and Mn(Ⅶ) by (NH4)2S2O8 solution in the presence of Ag+-ion.Contents of Cr and Mn in sample were determined simultaneously by spectrophotometry through taking values of absorbance at wavelength intervals of 10 nm in the range from 380 to 600 nm.The data obtained were treated by the algorithm of partial least square,with the help of a computer programmed with Matlab language.
