    ICP-AES Determination of Trace Amounts of Si,Mn,P and Fe in the Vanadium-Aluminum Alloy

    • An ICP-AES method for the direct and simultaneous determination of Si,Mn,P and Fe in V-Al alloy without preliminary separation was proposed.Interferences of the matrix elements of vanadium and aluminum were tested and were eliminated by internal standard and synchronous background calibration.Analytical spectral lines for Si,Mn,P and Fe in the determination were selected and optimized.Values of detection limits (3s/k) of the 4 elements found were in the range of 0.002 5-0.020 mg·L-1.Results of recovery test found by standard addition method were in the range of 91.4%-103.3%.Values of RSD′s (n=8) found from the results of analysis of a known sample were all less than 3%.
