Abstract
A review of recent advances of common methods for analysis of animal and vegetable oils in judicial identification covering the years from 1990 to 2013 was presented. And relating mainly in 2 respects: ① methods of pretreatment, including acid-catalyzed ester method, inorganic base-catalyzed methyl esterification method, organic base catalyzed methyl esterification method and so on; ② methods of determination, including MFS, IR, GC, GC-MS, stoichiometry and so on. A brief prospect on this field was also given (45 ref. cited).
