    Determination of Trace-Elements and Quality Evaluation of the Wild Chinese Velvet Bean Grown in the Area of Dabie Mountain

    • FAAS was applied to the determination of 6 trace-elements (Ca,Mg,Zn,Cu,Fe and Mn) in wild Chinese velvet bean grown in Dabie mountain area. The sample was digested with HNO3-HClO4 mixture. Accuracy and precision of the method were tested and a comparative study of the results with ICP-AES was also made. For the evaluation of the nutrition values,analysis of same trace-elements in soybean and black bean was also made and the contents of the 6 trace elements were compared with those of the wild Chinese velvet bean. It was proved by the experimental results that the later showed a higher value of nutrition and that a strong scientific warranty was obtained for the broader exploitation of the wild Chinese velvet bean.
