    Floatation of Gold(Ⅲ) in Solution System of Potassium Iodide and CTMAB

    • Floation of gold(Ⅲ) in solution system of potassium iodide and cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide in the presence of ammonium sulfate,and the analytical conditions for its separation from some metal ions were studied.Data of the experiments were obtained by the flame atomic absorption spectrometry.It was found that in a solution of pH 3,and the concentrations of (NH4)2SO4,KI and CTMAB in the solution were 100 g·L-1 ,5.0×10-3mol·L-1 and 2.0×10-3mol·L-1,gold(Ⅲ) was quantitatively separated from Fe(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ),Cu(Ⅱ),Cr(Ⅲ),Zn(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ).The proposed method has been applied to the determination of gold in simulated water samples.
