Abstract
A method for the determination of mercury in copper concentrates by HG-CV-AFS was proposed.Working conditions of the instrument, including atomization temperature, height of atomizer, negative high voltage, lamp current, the rates of carrier and shielding gas, were studied.Influential factors, including kinds and concentration of acids and concentration of reducing agent were optimized. The matrix interference was eliminated by the matrix matching method.Linear relationship between the fluorescence intensity and mass concentration of Hg was found in the range within 2.0 μg·L-1,with detection limit (3s/k) of 0.010 8 μg·L-1.Values of RSD (n=11) of the method found was less than 2%.The proposed method was applied to the determination of mercury in samples of copper concentrate, and test for recovery was made by standard addition method, giving values of recovery in the range of 92.0%-111.7%.
