Abstract
Contents of 5 aromatic components, i.e., 2-methyl-tetrahydrofuran-3-one, β-damascone, nerylacetone, β-ionone and β-linalool, in tobacco were determined by GC-MS. Naphthalene was used as internal standard and the internal standard calibration curve was used in the determination. Quartz capillary chromatographic column DB-5MS was used for separation of the analytes with programmed temperature elevation from 50 ℃ to 250 ℃, with flow-rate of 1 mL·min-1. Electron bombardment ionization (180 ℃, 70 eV) and SIM mode were adopted in MS, with the selected ions for the 5 components of (m/z) 43, 177, 43, 177, 128, 71. Ranges of linearity of the 5 components were found between 0.15-50, 1.2-55, 1.8-75, 0.8-60, 0.8-60 mg·L-1 respectively. Tests for recovery were made by addition of standard solutions of the 5 components to a tobacco sample, values of recovery found were in the range of 95.3%-106.6%.
