    Determination of Boron in Ferroboron Alloy by ICP-AES

    • ICP-AES was applied for the determination of boron in ferroboron alloy. The sample was dissolved with hydrochloric acid and nitric acid after alkali fusion with sodium carbonate and sodium peroxide. The wavelength of the analytical line for boron was 208.959 nm. The matrix effect was eliminated by adding iron to the sample. The detection limit (3S/N) was 0.005 mg·L-1. The method was used to analyze standard samples, and the results were in agreement with the certified values with RSD (n=6) less than 2%.
