    ON THE SELECTION OF METHODS FOR THE DETERMINATION OF FLAVONOIDS IN EXTRACTS OF SPRING BUCKWHEAT POWDER

    • A comparative study was made on the feasibility of 4 different methods,i.e.(a) the boric acid-citric acid method,(b) the aluminum nitratesodium nitrite odium hydroxide method,(c) the aluminum chloride-sodium acetate method and (d) the rutin method to the determination of flavonoids in extracts of spring buckwheat powder was studied.It was found from the experimental results that methods (a),(c) and (d) were not suitable for this determination due to their incomplete extraction or incomplete complexation of flavonoids,and method (b) was proved to be the best one due to its good repeatability precision and pragmaticality.
