Abstract
Seven phenol homologues in water sample were enriched by solid phase extraction (SPE) on the Oasis HLB column. After drying by N2-blowing,phenols (including phenol,4-nitrophenol,3-methyl phenol,2-chlorophenol,2,4-dichlorophenol,2,4,6-trichlorophenol,and pent chlorophenol) were eluted from the column with 1 mL of methanol, which was introduced into the instrument and determined by HPLC.Under the optimum condition of determination, linear relationships between values of analytical signals and concentration of the phenols were obtained in the range within 4.0 mg·L-1 for 4-nitrophenol,and in ranges within 20.0 mg·L-1 for the remainders.Lower limits of determination (10S/N) found for 4-nitrophenol was 0.02 mg·L-1,and for the remainder were less than 0.1 mg·L-1.Tests for recovery of the method were made by addition of standard solutions of the 7 phenol homologues to water samples in which phenols were not detected, values of recovery obtained were in the range of 79.4% to 103.0%,with values of RSD′s (n=7) in the range of 1.0%-6.7%.
