Abstract
A method of GFAAS with solid sample introduction was proposed for the determination of cadmium in seafood. A solution of 1.0 g·L-1 Pb(NO3)2 was used as matrix modifier, and temperatures selected for ashing and atomization were 950 ℃ and 1 900 ℃ respectively. Linear relationship between values of absorbance and mass of cadmium was obtained in the range of 0.05-0.2 ng, with detection limit (3s) of 0.015 ng. The proposed method was used in the analysis of sample of seafood, and results obtained were in consistency with those obtained by liquid sample introduction GFAAS. Values of recovery found by standard addition method were in the range of 60.0%-90.0%.
