    ICP-AES Determination of Species and Contents of 8 Trace Elements in Magnolia denudata Tea

    • Contents and species of 8 trace elements, i.e. Mn, As, Pb, Cr, Mg, Fe, Cu and Zn in Magnolia denudata tea were studied. Methods for extraction and separation of the species (including soluble and suspended species) from the sample were described in detail. ICP-AES was used for the determination of the 8 elements in the testing solutions. It was found that the total extraction rates of the elements were in the range of 23.83%-97.41%. The ratio of soluble species in aqueous solution of Magnolia denudata tea was in the range of 71.19%-99.62%。The contents of 8 elements in soluble species were showed as follows: Mg>Fe>Mn>Zn>Cu>As>Pb>Cr.
