    Chemiluminescence Determination of Tannic Acid in Shisandra Chinensis with the Reaction System of Tween 40-KIO4-H2O2

    • Based on the enhancing effect of tannic acid on the intensity of chemiluminescence (CL) produced by the reaction of H2O2 and KIO4 in the prescence of Tween 40,and by applying the flow injection technique,a new FI-CL method for determination of tannic acid in Shisandra Chinensis was proposed. Linear relationship between values of increase in CL intensity (ΔI) and concentration of tannic acid was obtained in the range of 5.0×10-8-1.0×10-5mol·L-1,with its detection limit of 2.3×10-8mol·L-1. Precision of the method was tested at the concentration level of 5.0×10-6mol·L-1 of tannic acid for 11 determinations,the value of RSD′s (n=11) obtained was 2.6%. A preliminary discussion on the mechanism of the chemiluminescence reaction was given.
