HPLC Determination of Neohesperidin in Citrus Peels

    • HPLC was applied to the determination of neohesperidin in citrus peels. The Sample was ultrasonically extracted with methanol, and made up to 50 mL. SinoChrom ODS-BP (250 mm×4.6 mm, 10 μm) column was used as stationary phase, a mixture of methanol and water mixed in the ratio of 36 to 64 (by volume) was used as mobile phase; UV-detection at 283 nm was used in the determination. Linear relationship between values of peak area and mass concentration of neohesperidin was obtained in the range of 0.005 3-0.32 g·L-1, with limit of detection (3S/N) of 0.6 mg·L-1. Values of average recovery and RSD (n=6) found were 90.3% and 1.7% respectively.
