Abstract
Sample of metal decoration was immersed in HNO3-H2O (20+80) solution for 24 h, and the contents of Pb, Cd, Cr, Hg, Sb, As, Se, Ba and Ni in sample solution were determined by ICP-AES. Wavelengths of 216.9, 228.8, 267.7, 194.2, 206.8, 189.0, 196.0, 455.4 and 216.6 nm were selected as analytical lines for the determination of the 9 elements respectively. Linear relationships between values of emission intensity of Cd, Cr, Se, Ba and Ni were found in the ranges within 10.0 mg·L-1, and within 2.0 mg·L-1 for Hg. Values of detection limit (3s) of the method found were in the range of 0.002-0.05 mg·L-1. The proposed method was used in the analysis of metal decorations, giving values of recovery and RSD′s (n=11) in the ranges of 95.4%-103.0% and 0.68%-2.0% respectively.
