FAAS Determination of 5 Metal Elements in Tianfoshen Oral Liquor and Its Raw Medicines

    • The samples was digested with a mixed acid of HNO3 and HClO4, and contents of the 5 metal elements, Cu, Fe, Zn, K and Na, in the sample solution was determined by FAAS. To overcome the interferences of co-existing substances, iron(Ⅲ) was determined in HCl(2+98) solution, zinc(Ⅱ) was determined in n-butyl alcohol+H2O(6+94) solution, and Cu(Ⅲ), K(Ⅰ), Na(Ⅰ) were determined in HNO3(2+98) solution. Total volumes of all these solution were 250 mL. The proposed method was used in the analysis of samples of Tianfoshen oral liquor and its raw medicines, i.e., american ginseng, lucid asparagus, fingered citron, bolbostemma, senso, obovatus canada, seabuckthorn and Chinese actinidia root. The values of recovery for determination of Cu, Fe, Zn, K and Na found by standard addition method were in the range of 91.2%-109.0% with values of RSD′s (n=6) less than 3.5%.
