    Adsorption of Cobalt(Ⅱ) in Waste Water with Chitosan Modified by Molecular Imprinting Technique

    • Cobalt(Ⅱ)-template chitosan adsorbant was prepared by modifying chitosan with molecular imprinting technique.The modified chitosan obtained was tested for its capacity for adsorption of Co(Ⅱ) ion from waste water.It was shown that when 8 g·L-1 of the modified chitosan were used for adsorption of Co(Ⅱ) ion in amounts ≤350 mg·L-1 from a medium containing waste water at the pH values from 6.0 to 6.5 under the temperature of 70 ℃ for 25 min,the saturated adsorption capacity attained to a value of 33.27 mg·g-1,which is 17.92% higher than that of the un-modified chitosan.The determination of cobalt(Ⅱ) was performed by atomic absorption spectrometry.The proposed method was applied to the analysis of industrial waste water,values of recovery found were 99.0% and 100.0%,and values of RSD′s (n=6) were in the range of 1.1%-1.4%.
