    Contrast of Measured method of Trace Silver in Water

    • The water sample was digested with HNO3,and Ag+ ion in the sample solution was determined both by ICP-AES and by FAAS.The values of detection limit (3s/k) found were 0.002 mg·L-1 for ICP-AES and 0.004 mg·L-1 for FAAS.The values of recovery and RSD′s (n=6) for the two methods were in the ranges of 101%-104%,102%-108% and 0.7%-2.7%,2.6%-4.9% respectively.As a conclusion of the comparative study,the ICP-AES method was preferred in the determination of silver in water for its higher sensitivity and accuracy.
