Abstract
The efficiency of 2 different anion separation columns (i.e., AS 17-C and AS 19) used in the IC determination of 8 trace anions with large volume sample introduction (500 μL) was studied comparatively. The water sample taken from worksite was filtered on membrane and introduced directly into the instrument. Separation of the 8 anions was performed separately on the 2 columns. KOH solutions with various concentrations were used as mobile phase in the gradient elution, and inhibitory conductivity detection was adopted in IC-analysis. Linearity for the 8 anions was found same in the range of 5-50 μg·L-1, while the detection limits (3S/N) found were in the ranges of 0.07-0.73 μg·L-1 and 0.08-1.90 μg·L-1 for the 2 columns respectively. Values of recovery found by standard addition method were in the ranges of 99.6%-104% (for AS 17-C) and 98.0%-103% (for AS 19).
