LC-MS Analysis of Pentaerythritol Oleate

LC-MS was applied to the determination of monoester, diester, triester and tetraester in mono-and di-pentaerythritol oleate. The sample was dissolved with a mixture of n-hexane and isopropanol (9+1), and separated by gradient elution with the same mixture of n-hexane and isopropanol with different ratios on Lichrospher Si100-5 column (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5μm). The contents of monoester, diester, triester and tetraester in the sample were determined by normalization of TIC peak area and identified by MS.
