    Linear Sweeping Voltammetric Determination of Human Serum Albumin and Its Analytical Application

    • Linear sweeping voltammetry was applied to the determination of human serum albumin (HSA) bese on its interaction with brillianl cresol blue (BCB).Conditions for the reaction were studied and optimized.In a B-R buffer medium of pH 6.5,reductive peak of BCB was observed at -0.1 V (vs.SCE),and in the presence of HSA,due to their interaction,the reductive peak was shifted negatively with decrease in peak current.Linear relationship between 2nd derivative of the magnitude of decrease in peak current (ΔI″p) and the concentration of HSA was found in the range of 2.0-60.0 mg·L-1 (r=0.997 0).The detection limit was found to be 2.0 mg·L-1.Test for recovery was made by standard addition method and the results obtained were in the range of 95.6%-107.5%.
