GC Determination of 17 Phthalates in Simulated Sweat Soaked with Plastics by Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction

    • Smashed plastics sample was shaked with simulated sweat at 37 ℃ for 1 h. A mixture of acetone (as dispersion agent) and CCl4 (as extractant) was added promptly to the extract, mixed thoroughly and centrifuged at 3 000 r·min-1 for 5 min. One μL of the organic phase containing the phthalates (PAE′s) was taken for GC analysis, using HP-5 capillary column for separation and hydrogen flame ionization detection for determination. Amounts of 17 PAE′s in the simulated sweat as dissolved from the plastics, was determined. Di-2-ethylhexyl phathalate was detected in extracts of 5 plastics, with 51.47 μg·L-1 as the maximum dissolved amount. Bis-2-ethoxyethyl phthalate, with the maximum amount of 111.14 μg·L-1, was found in extracts of packing bags. Detection limits (3S/N) of the 17 PAE′s were obtained in the range of 0.15-5.05 μg·L-1.
