    Spectrophotometric Determination of Microamounts of Antimony with Dibromo-p-methyl Carboxyazo in Microemulsoid

    • It was found that in an ammoniacal buffer medium of pH 10.4,a stable reddish colored ternary complex was formed among Sb(Ⅲ),dibromo-p-methyl carboxyazo (DBpMCA) and emulsifier CTMAB,with its absorption maximum at 550 nm and its molar absorptivity of 1.0×105L·mol-1·cm-1.Beer′s law was obeyed in the range within 8.0 μg per 10 mL of solution.The mole ratio of the complex was found to be: Sb(Ⅲ)∶DBpMCA∶CTMAB=1∶3∶2.
