    Simultaneous Determination of As and Hg in Dried Tangerine by HG-AFS

    • HG-AFS was applied to the simultaneous determinations of arsenic and mercury in dried tangerine with microwave assisted sample digestion.Amount of potassium borohydride added,acidity of degestant,and interferences of coexisting ions were studied and optimized.Linear relationships between the fluorescence intensity and mass concentration of As and Hg were found in the range within 20.0 μg·L-1 and within 2.00 μg·L-1 respectively,with detection limits of 0.084 μg·L-1 for As and 0.022 μg·L-1 for Hg.The proposed method was applied to the analysis of 6 dried tangerine samples,values of RSD′s (n=6) found for both elements were less than 7.0%,and values of average recovery found by standard addition method were 93.6% for As and 90.7% for Hg.
