    FI-Chemiluminescence Determination of Paracetamol

    • Based on the inhibitory effect of paracetamol on the CL-reaction system of luminol-H2O2 in 0.5 mol·L-1 NaOH medium, a method for the determination of paracetamol by FI-chemiluminescence (CL) was proposed. Under the optimum conditions, linear relationship of values of CL intensity and mass concentration of paracetamol was obtained in the range of 4.5×10-5-1.5×10-2g·L-1, with detection limit (3σ) of 9.0×10-7g·L-1. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of paracetamol tablets, giving values of recovery by standard addition method in the range of 93.3%-106.7% and RSD (n=6) in the range of 2.6%-3.0%.
