    ICP-AES Determination of Impurity Elements in Liquid Titanium Tetrachloride

    • A new method for the determination of impurity elements, including Si, Al, V, Cr, Cu and Fe in liquid titanium tetrachloride by ICP-AES was proposed in this paper. Under the optimum experimental conditions of the ICP instrument, the matrix effect was eliminated by addition of mixed or individual standard solutions of the elements determined to the sample matrix, and the spectral interferences was eliminated by selecting suitable analytical spectral lines. Detection limits (3s) of the method were found to be in the range of 0.001-0.015 mg·L-1.
