HPLC Determination of Components in Alkylethoxyglucoside Citric Ester Products

Abstract
HPLC was applied to the determination of 3 components, including alkyl polyoxyethylene, alkyl polyoxyethylene citric ester and alkylethoxyglucoside citric ester, in products of alkylethoxyglucoside citric ester. The sample was separated on SinoChrom ODS-BP chromatographic column (4.6 mm×200 mm, 5 μm) with a mixture of acetonitrile and 0.02% (φ) CF3COOH mixed in different ratio as mobile phase in gradient elution. The contents of 3 components were determined by Evaporation Light Scattering Detector (ELSD), with quantification by the method of normalization. As shown by the experimental results, the proposed method was proved to feasible in the general analysis of the alkylethoxyglucoside citric ester products and in its quality control.
