    Simultaneous Spectrophotometric Determination of Rutin and Vitamin C in Rutin Compound Tablets with Wavelet Transform

    • Simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of rutin and vitamin C in rutin compound tablets was made possible by applying the algorithm of wavelet transform.Overlap of absorption spectra of rutin and vitamin C was treated by continuous wavelet transform,and the eigen wavelet transform coefficients,correlating separately with the concentration of rutin or vitamin C were extracted respectively.Linear regression equations correlating the eigen wavelet transform coefficient and the concentration of either rutin or vitamin C were established,on the base of which the contents of rutin or vitamin C in the drug tablets were determined accurately.Linear relationships were kept in the ranges of 0-25 mg·L-1 and 0-15 mg·L-1 for rutin and vitamin C respectively.Tests for recovery and precision were made with 3 simulated samples,results of recovery were in the range of 98.1%-102.0%,and results of RSD′s (n=7) were ≤0.9%.
