Abstract
GC was applied to the determination of 3 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, i.e. naphthalene, decahydronaphthalene and tetrahydronaphthalene in workplace air with capillary. The sample was collected with activated carbon adsorption tube and desorbed for 20 min by carbon disulfide. The analytes were separated on DB-FFAP capillary column and detected by FID. Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass concentration of the 3 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons were kept in definite ranges. Detection limits (3S/N) found were ranged from 0.05 to 0.5 mg·L-1. On the base of blank sample, test for recovery was made by standard addition method;values of recovery found were in the range of 89.3%-97.5% with RSD′s (n=6) in the range of 2.2%-5.4%.
