    Simultaneous Determination of Butyl-Tin Compounds by Single-Sweeping Oscillopolarography with PLS Multivariate Calibration

    • In an acetate buffer solution of pH 6.0,monobutyltin (MBT) and tributyltin (TBT) gave sensitive polarographic peak currents at -0.70 V and -1.18 V (vs.SCE) respectively,while dibutyltin (DBT) gave 2 sensitive peak current at -0.78 V and -0.88 V.The co-interferences of the 3 compounds made their determinations impossible in their mixtures.By the application of PLS multivariate calibration,the 3 butyltin compounds were successfully determined in the presence of each other,and the simultaneous single-sweeping oscillopolarographic method with the algorithm of PLS multivariate calibration was proposed for the determination in their mixtures.Tests for the precision and recovery of the method were made and the values of RSD′s (n=9) and recoveries obtained were in the ranges of 3.2%-11.9% and 96.2%-101.2% respectively.
