    Simultaneous ICP-AES Determination of Migration Amounts of Cr,Ni,Cd,Pb and As in Stainless Steel Cooking Utensil

    • The cleaned sample of stainless steel cooking utensil (5.0 cm×5.0 cm) was soaked with acetic acid for 24 h,and the contents of Cr,Ni,Cd and Pb in the solution obtained were determined by ICP-AES and content of As by HG-ICP-AES.Conditions of acidity of sample solution and concentration of KBH4 nesessary for the hydride generation of arsenic,as well as the chemical interference of other co-existing elements to the determination of arsenic were studied and optimized.Wavelengths of 267.716,231.604,214.438,220.353 and 193.695 nm were selected as analytical spectral lines for the determination of Cr,Ni,Cd,Pb and As,respectively.Values of RSD′s (n=10) of Cr,Ni,Cd,Pb and As found were 0.7%,0.8%,3.1%,1.2% and 3.6%,and detection limits (3s) found were 0.032,0.026,0.006,0.033,0.007 5 mg·L-1 respectively.The proposed method was used in the determination of the 5 elements in 3 samples,and the results obtained was in conformity with those obtained by the GB/T 5009.81-2003 method.
