Abstract
A method of liquid headspace-GC was applied to the determination of residual amounts of monomers and solvents in food contacted with styrene polymer. The polymer was completely dissolved in N,N-dimethylacetamide. Under the optimized conditions, the matrix effect was eliminated by matrix matching calibration. The limits of detection (3S/N) for the 7 analytes were found in the range of 0.2-4.1 mg·kg-1. Values of recovery were found in the range of 93.2%-103.2%, with values of RSD′s (n=6) in the range of 1.1%-5.6%.
